Chihuly Garden and Glass

“The principles of true art is not to portray, but to evoke”
Chihuly Garden and Glass at Seattle portrays some amazing glass sculptures and structures, all molded by master craftsmen.
The project features three primary components: the Garden, the Glasshouse, and the Interior Exhibits, with significant secondary spaces including a 90-seat café with additional outdoor dining, a 50-seat multi-use theater and lecture space, retail and lobby spaces, and extensive public site enhancements beyond the Garden.

Sunset by the Medina Beach

The yellow ball of fire changed to hues of orange, and then almost tangerine. It merged with the sky, like juice-mix dissolving in a glass of water. The clouds were cotton-candy, as though they blushed at the warm touch of the sun. Silhouettes of birds flew home across a sky that was now magenta; and the sun was half into the water, but its reflection in the sea made it look complete. The mauve of the dusky sky intensified, and in just a while, the biggest star had set, giving way to a thousand others.

The lake and the mountains have become my landscape, my real world. Just another simple yet beautiful and serene evening by the Medina Beach, Lake Washington.

A Silent Night !

“I love the silent hour of night,
For blissful dreams may then arise,
Revealing to my charmed sight
What may not bless my waking eyes.” ― Anne Brontë

One of the most iconic views of Mt. Rainier in the park can be found at Reflection Lakes. Summer and fall, sunrise and sunset, it is perhaps the single-most photographed view for both budding and experienced photographers, who return again and again. In summer, the lakes are bordered with wildflowers and come autumn, they are a mirror of fall color. Many consider this area to be the park at its best — colorful blooms, enchanting animal life, and scenic, awe-inspiring beauty of mountain peaks and alpine lakes.

Rattlesnake lake bw punch

Washington is blessed with some of the last truly dark night skies, now rare in much of the developed world. Despite some light pollution at Rattlesnake Lake, it was a pleasant star gazing experience. Can’t complain much for a decently dark place just 30 mins off the city.

For complete darkness I would suggest going to Mt Rainier National Park, or the Olympic National Park, its devine there at night 🙂 Also checkout the map https://darksitefinder.com/maps/world.html#8/47.089/-120.679
